Data Collection

Keizoku is designed with privacy in mind. Your habit data — including habit names, completion history, and any notes you add — is stored locally on your device and is never transmitted to our servers or any third party.

Separately, we collect anonymized usage analytics via PostHog to understand how users interact with the app and to improve the experience. This analytics data cannot be used to identify you personally and does not include any of your habit data.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect or request:

  • Personal identifiers (name, email address, phone number)
  • Contacts, calendars, photos, camera, microphone, precise location
  • Health or fitness data
  • Device advertising identifiers

Analytics and Crash Reporting

We use PostHog, a privacy-focused analytics platform, to understand how users interact with Keizoku. This helps us improve the app experience. PostHog collects anonymized usage data such as:

  • Which screens you visit and features you use
  • Session start and end times
  • Device type and operating system version
  • App version
  • General location (country/region level, derived from IP address — the IP address itself is not stored)
  • An anonymous user identifier (not linked to your personal identity)

This data cannot be used to personally identify you. Your habit data is never sent to PostHog or any external service — it remains entirely on your device.

Additionally, if you have opted in at the OS level, Apple and Google may provide us with anonymized, aggregated crash and performance reports. These reports can include information such as device model, operating system version, and anonymized crash traces, and cannot be used to identify you.

In-App Purchases

Keizoku offers premium features through in‑app purchases processed by Apple and Google. We never store or have access to your payment information.

We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions, entitlements, and in-app purchase flows. RevenueCat collects:

  • Purchase metadata (product identifier, transaction timestamps, purchase status)
  • Paywall analytics (views, dismissals, time spent, conversion events)
  • Anonymous user identifier
  • Device and platform information

This data is used to validate purchases, enable premium features, and help us understand and optimize the subscription experience. RevenueCat does not have access to your habit data or personal identity.

Data Sharing and Sale

We do not sell your data. We do not share personal data with third parties. The following third-party services process limited data on our behalf:

  • RevenueCat — processes purchase metadata and paywall analytics to manage subscriptions and optimize the purchase experience
  • PostHog — processes anonymized analytics data to help us understand app usage and improve the experience

Data Security

Since your data stays on your device, you maintain full control over your information. We recommend using your device's built-in backup features (iCloud, Google Backup) to prevent data loss.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your habit data remains on your device until you delete it. To remove your data, you can delete the Keizoku app or clear its storage from your device settings. We do not keep copies of your habit data on any server.

Purchase records are maintained by Apple and Google for billing and anti‑fraud. We cannot delete those records, but you can manage your purchase history via your Apple ID or Google account.

Children’s Privacy

Keizoku is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your Privacy Rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because the analytics data we collect is anonymized and cannot be linked to you personally, there is generally nothing for us to provide or delete related to app usage. Your habit data is stored only on your device and is under your control. If you contact us by email, you can request deletion of that correspondence at any time.
